Indigo Dye &
Shibori Workshop

Sunday, Jan 22

In this half-day workshop led by Neil Goss, you’ll learn the centuries-old process of indigo dyeing. You’ll get hands on experience in how to make your own vat starting with a stock solution as well as caring for and sustaining your vat for the future. Tritik, fold dye, and other shibori processes will be introduced.

Jan 20-22

Kansas based artist Neil Goss will also have a pop-up shopat Celery Space, 1/20-1/22. There will be naturally-dyed woven wall art and wood-fired pottery on display. He'll be around after the workshop to display and talk about his work.

Learn to sew your own ring sling from a cotton tablecloth!  Just a few straight seams and some ironing are all that's required.  We'll help you every step of the way. Ring slings are easy to learn, simple, comfortable baby carriers that have been used for decades to keep precious ones close so parents can go about their day. Spicy Saucy Times

Learn techniques for using dried and fresh chilies, how to toast and roast ingredients for maximum flavor, and discuss variations and adaptations. We will create 4 different sauces and condiments from a base of dried chilies and garlic—Charred Tomato Salsa, Harissa, Romesco, and Roasted Eggplant Dip. 


Community Quilt

Community Quilt is a participatory event calling on community collaboration and the long history of group quilting. Inspired by the spirit of community building inherent in group quilting, participants create their own arrangement of fabrics for their block design so each quilt created has aunique flavor.
